It was one of the less crowded rooftops near the square but that didn't matter since he had a fairly good veiw of the dropping ball, a corona in hand, warm coat so he didn't freeze to death, and most importantly 'Star standing beside him. The air around them nearly quivered in anticipation as the ball began to drop, and the countdown started. Then the ball hit and everybody shouted Happy New Year and Aulde Lang Sange started to play, despite neither Rictor nor Shatterstar knowing the words. Cat EarsDoug dragged himself sadly out of the shower, having finally finished the hour of hell that some demented overlord had decided that they all needed to go through, then had the gall to call 'training.' Exactly why he was sure that it was somebody's revenge for something and when he found who it was, oh how they would pay. Still aching in places that he had not even known existed he made his way down to the small room that they laughingly called the kitchen, which had a community fridge, sink and microwave only. First snowfallStill drying his hair from the shower Julio picked up the remote and flipped it onto the weather channel. He somehow got roped into taking some of the students into town so that they can start their christmas shopping. he cursed whatever fate that had it in for him. Spraining his wrist, having grabbed the wrong thing when trying to steady himself on a patch of ice. Then had saddled him with 9 to 13 year olds because half of the adults in the institute had taken off on another mission, and had not been back in three days.
